My service proceeds as follows

  1. Review your site for possible usability problems and other issues.
Perform advanced log analysis to see how users are really navigating your site.
Briefly discuss your objectives for the site and your business processes in general.
  2. Produce suggestions on how to make the site achieve business goal more effectively.
Help you in successfully implementing the suggestions.
  3. Use log data analysis again to verify that changes had the desired effect.

Easy to get started

  • Data already exists: I will use the default web server log data files in my analysis. No configuration changes or software installation is necessary!
  • No learning: You don't need to learn another complex program to get your site analyzed!
  • Competitive price: Depending on the size of your site, my analysis will be ready in a day or two and cost you 200-500 Euros (250-625 USD).

Benefits

  • My unique reports allow me and you to see the whole picture about how users behave on your site.
  • Understanding the visitor behaviour is essential for prioritizing your development efforts reasonably.
  • Other approaches make you start tagging your pages or install elaborate software and learn to use it.
  • I will give you actionable suggestions after considering user behaviour in your site as a whole.

Special reports

Special features of reports

  • Flexibly grouping your URLs into logical pages. If you have hundreds of products in your site and you're looking at reports where every product is its own page, you don't know how "The product page" is performing in general. You don't see the forest from the trees. When all of your product pages are grouped into one page for the analysis, you get the general picture.
  • When comparing data sets, my analyses show the statistical significance of observed differences. For example, is it significant that a certain link's usage has changed from 55% to 58%? Based on sample sizes in the data sets, it is possible to compute the likelihood that such difference would occur by chance alone.
  • Reports use visits as the basic unit. For answering site design or usability questions, visits are much more useful than page views. When analysing server data, visits are a much more reliable unit than unique visitors, for technical reasons.
